Herbal Action: antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, circulatory stimulant, diaphoretic

Indications:

  • Traditionally used to ease nausea from morning sickness, motion sickness and chemotherapy

  • Improves circulation to the digestive organs and increases bile production, improving digestion and assimilation

  • Adjunct treatment for high blood pressure and high cholesterol

Preferred Preparations: honey, infusion, oil/salve, tincture

Taste: pungent + sweet

Contraindications: do not exceed 2g daily during pregnancy. May cause digestive upset. Avoid high doses with anticoagulant medications or with a blocked bile duct.
