  • High in nutrients and trace minerals

  • Traditionally used to support milk production in nursing mothers

Taste: slightly sweet, mild flavor

Contraindications: generally regarded as safe, but those with a predisposition to SLE should avoid consuming large amounts

Origin Story: cultivated as early as 2000 BCE in the Middle East where it was commonly used to enhance digestion. Indigenous folk use a hot poultice to treat earaches.
