Affinity: lymph, liver, mucous membranes, skin

Herbal Actions: anti fungal, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antispasmodic, astringent, bitter, emmenagogue, immune stimulant, lymphatic,

Indications:

  • Soothing to any skin inflammation, including diaper rash, chicken pox, bug bites and sunburn

  • Topical application reduces scarring, while internal consumption has been shown to heal intestinal tissues (leaky gut)

Preferred Preparations: infusion, oil/salve, tincture, vinegar

Taste: tangy, mildly bitter

Contraindications: generally regarded as safe. Exercise caution with Aster family allergies.
