Indications:

  • Can help lower blood sugar levels, becoming most effective with consistent use

  • Soothes inflamed mucous membranes, like with sore throats, gastritis, heartburn, IBS and leaky gut

  • Helps replenish the body after illness or chemotherapy

Preferred Preparations: food as medicine, decoction

Taste: bitter + sweet

Contraindications: not for use during pregnancy at therapeutic doses. Diabetic individuals may need to alter the dosage of their medication. Consistent use may cause body odor and urine to smell of maple syrup.
