Affinity: blood, nervous system, smooth musculature

Herbal Action: analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, bitter tonic, carminative, diaphoretic, emmenagogue, vermifuge

Indications:

  • Consistent use can reduce the frequency of migraines and lessen associated symptoms

  • Reduces inflammation associated with asthma, allergies, arthritis, menstrual cramps, UTIs and gastric upset

Preferred Preparations: infusion, tincture

Taste: bitter

Contraindications: not for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, nor in children under 2 or those with bleeding disorders. Do not combine with blood thinners. Discontinue use around surgeries.
