Topically soothing to burns, poison ivy, eczema, rashes, psoriasis, and necrotic tissue
Analog for slippery elm bark
Preferred Preparations: cold infusion, syrup
Taste: slightly earthy
Contraindications: generally regarded as safe
Origin Story: used in the Middle Ages as a gargle to relieve mouth and gum infections
