Herbal Action: astringent, hemostatic, nutritive, uterine tonic

Indications:

• High in calcium, magnesium and iron

• Traditionally used to tone the uterus, prepare for birth, and relieve morning sickness

• Balances menstrual bleeding and reduces excessive bleeding postpartum

• Treats diarrhea and reduces inflammation in the mucous membranes, including from wounds, eye inflammation, vaginal infections, and hemorrhoids

Preferred Preparations: infusion, tincture

Taste: bitter green tea

Contraindications: may exacerbate dry conditions
