Affinity: cardiovascular system, endocrine system, reproductive system

Herbal Action: anti-inflammatory, circulatory stimulant, hypotensive, immune modulator, reproductive tonic

Indications:

• Regulates menstrual cycle, especially disorders due to blood deficiency, and improves uterine tone

• Phytoestrogens are helpful in balancing hormones, including during the transition to menopause to ease associated symptoms

Preferred Preparations: decoction, tincture

Taste: slightly sweet and nutty

Contraindications: not for use during pregnancy, with bleeding disorders, heavy menstruation and with blood thinners. Discontinue use around surgery.
