Herbal Action: antiviral, antispasmodic, carminative, diaphoretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, nervine
Indications:
Beneficial at the onset of a cold that presents with a low grade fever
Calms coughs associated with asthma, bronchitis and the late stages of respiratory illness, specifically wet coughs.
Preferred Preparations: infusion, oxymel, syrup, tincture
Taste: bitter + similar to licorice
Contraindications: not for use during pregnancy
