Herbal Action: astringent, diuretic, hemostatic
Indications:
Traditionally used to stop bleeding from passive hemorrhage, nosebleeds and menstrual irregularities
Reduces inflammation and bleeding from ulcerations associated with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and IBS
Preferred Preparations: infusion, sitz bath, tincture
Taste: roasted brussels sprouts
Contraindications: not for use during pregnancy, with blood pressure disorders, kidney disease, or if taking associated medications. Seek immediate medical attention for active hemorrhage.
