Indications:

  • Lubricates the joints and connective tissues and eases inflammation from stiffness, overuse, or injury

  • Speeds healing of sprains, strains, and inflamed tendons, muscles, ligaments and joints

  • Soothes nervous tension associated with pain in the musculoskeletal system

Preferred Preparations: decoction, tincture

Taste: sweet and nutty

Contraindications: generally regarded as safe, but may lower blood sugar levels. Those taking diabetic medications should consult their health care practitioner and monitor their blood sugar levels closely.
