Herbal Action: anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, astringent, bitter tonic, diaphoretic, diuretic, emmenagogue, immune stimulant, styptic, vasodilator, vulnerary

Indications:

  • Reduces inflammation and bleeding in the urinary, digestive and reproductive tracts common with UTIs,  colitis, IBS, hemorrhoids and menstrual irregularities

  • Topically used to stop bleeding, on varicose veins, spider veins, bruises, sprains, carpel tunnel and tendonitis

Preferred Preparations: infusion, tincture

Taste: bitter astringent

Contraindications: not for use during pregnancy. Seek immediate medical attention for active hemorrhage.
